As a lawyer and community writer, she has received numerous awards, including the Arkansas Arts Council Arts Award for dramaturgy for her work in the arts, as well as numerous national and international awards. She earned her B.A. in English from the University of Arkansas and her J.D. from Arkansas State University.

Castro has been an assistant professor of English at the University of Arkansas College of Arts and Sciences and an associate professor at Arkansas State University since 2014.

In 2015, he won several Jackson Music Awards, including the Grammy for Best Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Album, and in 2015, he was nominated for a Grammy for his work as a member of the Jackson 5. In recognition of his achievements from 1987 to 2017, Diddley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the American Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He has also been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Recording Academy, the Recording Industry Association of America, and the Society of Professional Journalists.

In 1997, New Orleans Magazine named Steve Star Guitar / Banjo Player of the Year and he first appeared on the cover of New York Times Magazine. The group's performances were so well received - he was so well received locally that he traveled to Jackson, Mississippi, and performed at the Mississippi Music Hall of Fame's annual concert in aid of the Mississippi Musicians' Hall of Fame. He has also performed with the Jackson 5 several times, most recently in 2015, and benefited from the Musician's Hall and Fame in Mississippi.

The town of McComb is located just across the Louisiana state line, nestled in the heart of the Mississippi River Valley, north of New Orleans, Mississippi. The proximity to the famous City of New Orleans railway line made the city a popular stop for Amtrak trains, and the Amtrak station continues to offer connections to New York, Chicago and other major cities in the United States. Bo Diddley's blue marker has been returned to its original location at the intersection of Interstate 10 and I-10.

F was one of the few African-American artists to achieve crossover fame in the rock'n'roll of the 1950s. As Thompson perfected his craft, he drew inspiration from a number of guitarists, including John Coltrane, Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead. His guitar sound became the basic vocabulary of rock and influenced a variety of musicians from the early days of rock'n "roll (including Steve Link and Pete Townsend, the lead guitarist of Diddley's first two albums) to sampling recordings of his later radio recordings. Steve then worked in more traditional jazz, but his songs and beats were adopted by many bands.

In the fall of 1972, another group was added, and this new group consisted of Steve Link, Pete Townsend, Joe Diddley and Howard Thompson. The other members of the group were, among others, John Browning, Howard Johnson, Willie Nelson, Billie Jean King, Jimi Hendrix, John Coltrane and Bob Dylan.

The Vasti Jackson, who performed live with songs by the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Grateful Dead and other rock'n "roll bands. He is a published author and has played in the USA and Europe for over 30 years, most recently as a member of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.

After retiring, Thompson moved to Tennessee to be closer to his children and try his hand at the music scene, playing covers and originals. He is particularly pleased when the listeners recognize the attention to detail that the band places on imitating the original versions of the songs it plays. One of the things I love about DoubleShotz is playing songs that I love as much as I remember them, "he said. With songs like "Do I Love," it's an extension of my early violin playing, and that's what it's all about.
